King of Fighters 15released with a massive roster, bringing back old classics, fan favorites, and even some new blood for players to mix it up with. The new game has come with some new modes and a beautiful art style. However, there were some names left off the list that fans of the King of Fighters series were hoping to see. Like most fighting games as of late, the roster is sure to increase with the addition to DLC. Here are some of the hopefuls we want to make it onto the King of Fighters 15 roster as DLC.

10 Goro Daimon

Special Moves : Kyouten Dou’chi and Fuurinkazan

A very popular character in the King of Fighters franchise is Goro Daimon, known as “The Rising Storm”. Goro debuted in KOF 94 and was portrayed as a practitioner of Judo. He belonged to the Hero team alongside Kyo Kusanagi and Benimaru Nikaido.

His design is a large-bodied man in a traditional martial arts gi, with a white headband that has a single red dot in its center. Goro’s fighting style used his immense strength to cause seismic attacks by striking the ground.

9 Sie Kensou

Special Moves: Psychic Aura, Psychic Projectile, and Psychic Dragon

Sie Kensou, also known as “The Young Rising Dragon,” first appeared in the 1987 Psycho Soldier game. Later on, he crossed over into KOF 94, being a part of the same team name with Chin Gentsai and Athena Asamiya.

Sie’s design is a young man in his early twenties wearing a blue and white jacket with forearm sleeves. His fighting style is a mix of Wing Chun and traditional Chinese Kong Fu that he intertwines with his psychic dragon ability.

8 Chin Gentsai

Special Moves: Fire Breathe and Fire Body

Chin Gentsai is also a member of the Psychic Soldier team and a mentor to Sie Kensou and Athena Asamiya. However, Chin first appeared in KOF 94 alongside the main cast and not in a previous SNK title.

An elderly man wearing vagabond clothing and with thick white hair, Chin is always seen with a gourde filled with a mystery substance. Chin’s fighting style is that of Chinese Kong Fu, noticeably influenced by ‘The Drunken Fist."

7 Kim Kaphwan

Special Moves: Hangetsu Zan and Hou’ou Kyaku

Another All-star of the King of Fighters series, Kim Kaphwan, aka “The Jewel Of Taekwondo,” is a fierce character who appeared in Fatal Fury 2 and Fatal Fury Special before making his way to KOF 94. He was a member of the fugitive team with Chang Koehan and Choi Bounge.

Kim is nearly always in a white martial arts gi with blue trim; it is his defining look and a classic aesthetic. Kim’s fighting style is Taekwondo, utilizing powerful kicks and mobile attacks from above.

6 Jhun Hoon

Special Moves: Hou’ou resou Kyaku and Hou’ou resou Kyaku

Jhun first appeared in King of Fighters 99 as a part of the Korea Justice Team alongside Kim, Chang, and Choi, although he has not been in a recent SNK game since KOF 2002 unlimited match. His appearance is of a young man with long white hair, an elegant physique, and streamlined martial arts gi.

Jhun is also the standing rival for Kim Kaphwan, having a similar fighting style utilizing Taekwondo which he’s developed into powerful stances called Hawk and Eagle.

5 Nelson

Special Moves: Victory Punch, Mighty Punch, and Invisible Punch

Nelson is one of the newest characters in the King of Fighters franchise, debuting in the 14th entry along with several other fighters. Nelson also appeared in the KOF comic/manga “A New Beginning”. Nelson dresses in boxing gloves, shorts, and shoes, along with a lengthened hoodie and prosthetic arm.

Naturally, Nelson utilizes a boxing style, one that manipulates air currents. In fact, he is so dangerous with his fists, Nelson can create shock waves to damage opponents.

4 Bandeiras

Special Moves: Kama Itachi and Tatami Gaeshi

Bandeiras is a character that also debuted in King of Fighters 14, and he is perhaps one of the franchise’s most unique creations. A ninja-themed character, Bandeiras’ move sets paid homage to Hanzo Hattori from Samurai Showdown. Bandeiras is a tanned man with dreadlocks, armored arm sleeves, wide-legged pants, and ninja-toe sandals.

Fitting his look and inspiration, Bandeiras is a very flashy fighter; he uses acrobatic leaps and fast-paced movements, including smoke bombs and launchers.

3 Raiden

Special Moves: Super Raiden Drop and Crazy Train

Raiden is the resident masked wrestler of KOF; he first appeared in Fatal Fury: King of Fighters and then made his debut in the main franchise in King of Fighters 12. Raiden is a large, heavy-set man wearing a leotard and a wrestling mask to shield his identity.

Raiden utilizes strong grappling attacks and heavy blows but also has several mythical arts such as flame breathe and poison breathe.

2 Wolfgang

Special Moves: Gigantic Cyclone and Unlimited Desire

Wolfgang Krauser is a boss character originally appearing in Fatal Fury 2 and Fatal Fury Special. He would eventually make his way to King of Fighters, joining the fray for KOF 96. Dubbed the Emperor of Darkness, Wolfgang prides himself on his strength and skill.

A large muscular man with long violet-colored hair wearing red and yellow armored battle attire, Wolfgang uses a mix of German and Roman martial arts called Kampfringen and Panklration to overwhelm opponents.

1 May Lee Jinju

Special Moves: Gauze Tail Tinkerbell and Disposition Frog

May Lee debuts in the King of Fighters franchise in King of Fighters 2001, becoming a member of the Korea team alongside Choi, Chang, and Kim, replacing Jhun. A young blue-haired girl, May Lee usually wears a colorful t-shirt with the image of a frog on it, white pants, and a stylish belt.

Like her teammate Kim, May Lee practices Taekwondo, utilizing sharp kicks and acrobatic maneuvers. May Lee’s special moves reflect her fighting style and fashion sense.

King of Fighters 15 is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
