Smiljanic joined Perth in August after a season in Israel with Maccabi Netanya, while the Partizan Belgrade youth product has also played for Espanyol, Sporting Gijon and Genclerbirligi during his career.
Perth and Smiljanic agreed to mutually terminate the rest of his one-year contract.

The 30-year-old made just 10 starts in his time with Glory as he was kept out of Kenny Lowe’s best XI by captain Rostyn Griffiths and youngster Brandon Wilson.
“Milan would like to explore some opportunities in Asia and the club will not stand in his way and wish him the best for his next football chapter,” Glory CEO Peter Filopoulos said in a statement.

Smiljanic’s departure leaves Perth with one import spot available but the club will only be allowed to sign free agents if they are to replace the former Serbia international outside of the A-League’s transfer windows.
