Original Story

The first fighter in the second Fighters Pass for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is Min Min from ARMS.

While this unique fighter will surely make an impact on players, many fans are wondering when exactly Min Min will become available in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, along with version 8.0.

Nintendo confirmed that Min Min will drop in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Monday, June 29, but figuring out the exact timing may be tricky. Here’s all the information you need to know about when Min Min will become available to download and how to do so from the Nintendo eShop.

WHEN WILL MIN MIN BE AVAILABLE IN SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE?

As stated above, Min Min will arrive in Nintendo’s premier fighting game on Monday, June 29. Going by past DLC fighter releases, it’s a little difficult to pinpoint what time exactly players will be able to download her, but we can try to figure it out.

Byleth, the protagonist from Fire Emblem: Three Houses and the most recent DLC fighter to arrive in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, was released around 9 p.m. EDT, along with version 7.0. The same timeframe was the case for Banjo-Kazooie and version 5.0 (8 p.m. EDT), and also the Hero and Joker, with their updates being released around 9 p.m. EDT.

The only outlier was Terry Bogard, who was released shortly after his reveal demo at around 9 a.m. on November 6, 2019.

This would suggest that Min Min will likely be released between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. EDT on Monday. To further this theory, the official Japanese Nintendo account states that Min Min will be released in Japan on Tuesday, June 30.

With Min Min being a global release, a 9 p.m. EDT release on June 29 would put it at 10 a.m., June 30, in Japan.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD MIN MIN IN SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE

Players who wish to purchase Min Min can do so separately or as part of the Fighters Pass 2 bundle. Go to the Nintendo eShop and search “min” or “fighters pass.” There, you can sort the results by Downloadable Content, which will put the latest DLC at the top of the list.

Gamers don’t normally have to look hard for new releases, as Nintendo does a good job of posting them on the front page of the eShop.

Alone, Min Min costs $5.99, and purchasing the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass 2 will cost players $29.99. The Fighters Pass 2 includes Min Min and five other unannounced fighters.

Min Min’s release will also come with a new stage and music from ARMS.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available now for Nintendo Switch.
