How to Find Royal Jelly in Slime Rancher
In Slime Rancher players can navigate their way to some Royal Jelly in several Treasure Pods in two locations. In the Moss Blanket, players can find Royal Jelly in Treasure Pod 1, 2, and 3. There is also a Royal Jelly in Treasure Pod 3 in the Ancient Ruins.
There are some other ways to grab some Royal Jelly, including by using Apiary extractors. These extractors come in four different levels, and each level is more likely to dig up the rarest crafting items for players to use. Apiaries can be used to find Royal Jelly and other rare resources like Slime Rancher’s Wild Honey in both the Moss Blanket and in the Glass Desert. These extractors take about 12 in-game hours to finish digging up resources.
Royal Jelly can also be gotten from Slime Science Crates, although their drop rate is about 3%. Players will be much more likely to find them in the other locations, but it is still possible to find it in a crate. Royal Jelly does not appear in Regular Crates.
Players will need one Royal Jelly to complete each of the two Warp Link recipes that require it, and one for each Advance Drone they wish to build. So players can expect to need several of these rare Science crafting materials, especially if they choose to also create the Royal Jelly curios and the other decorations.
What is Royal Jelly?
In the survival game Slime Rancher, players can check out the Slimepedia to learn more about items. The Slimepedia describes Royal Jelly as extra sweet. It is based off of the real world Royal Jelly, which is an extra sweet version of bee honey that is given to larvae when a Queen dies. This substance forces the larvae to grow into potential Queens. It is also a reference to the dev’s previous game, Spiral Knights.
Slime Rancher is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
