This would not seem like such a big deal. There isn’t another U.S. professional sport that has a system of promotion and relegation, in which teams that finish at the bottom of the highest league’s standings are dropped to a minor league, whereas the teams that finish best in the minor league are promoted to play in the big time. It turns out, though, there is this curious sub-culture of American soccer fans who reject MLS not because the standard of play is less than the best in the world or the absence of a nearby team, but rather because the league declined to embrace the promotion/relegation concept when it was founded in 1996....

As previously mentioned, mainline Final Fantasy games tend to take a long time to develop. In fact, the most recent non-remake entry, Final Fantasy 15, took approximately ten years to develop before finally being released. However, this trend of long periods of development time does not appear to be the case with Final Fantasy 16. The specs come courtesy of WinFuture, who also said the phone’s 6.7in flat display will be a 1080p resolution 60Hz panel. All of Samsung’s S20 phones have 120Hz refresh rate displays, so it’d be an odd move for Samsung to make one of the Notes with the standard 60Hz. The Note 20 Ultra is expected to have a larger, curved edge display and 120Hz screen. The rumour that the smaller Note 20 has a plastic back is the oddest detail, and one we find hard to believe....

The Tigers were impressive in a 55-3 victory against Georgia Southern, and they join Alabama and Clemson as SEC teams in the top five. LSU meets Texas, which dropped one spot to No. 7, in Austin this weekend in the marquee matchup for Week 2. MORE: Bowl projections | Playoff picture Washington also bumped up four spots to crack the top 10. Washington State (No. 17) and UCF (No. 18) made the biggest leaps up at six spots apiece....

Sporting News has learned from multiple sources that Lesnar signed a multi-year deal with the company. The deal includes Lesnar being allowed to fight in the UFC, which is something he insisted on if he were to re-sign with the pro wrestling giant. The number fights Lesnar allowed under the deal is unknown at this time. SN also confirmed Lesnar is currently under UFC contract and has been since June 2016, prior to his UFC 200 fight versus Mark Hunt....

Ben Avery, the man behind Bayside Snake Catchers, a company that offers snake removal services in Queensland, Australia, was bitten on his left thumb by his eastern tiger snake as he was feeding it earlier this month. Within minutes, Avery started vomiting and began to fall in and out of consciousness. His kidneys subsequently shut down, and four blood transfusions were required to save his life. Avery, who has described his ordeal on Facebook, said he pulled the snake off his thumb “about half a second” after it bit him, and he was tended to immediately by his wife, while speaking to medics on the phone....

In Montgomery County in eastern Kentucky, a wreck involving between 50 to 75 vehicles caused a stretch of I-64 to be closed between exit 110 and exit 101, Sheriff David Charles said in a statement on Facebook. As of Thursday evening, crews were still clearing all the accidents and stuck vehicles on the interstate, according to Charles. “Deputies are routing as many passenger vehicles from westbound to the eastbound side,” the sheriff said in his update at 5:41 p....
